Hercules Building

Method Design’s response to an 8000 sqft restaurant attached to the lobby of a large corporate building in Wilmington was not the proposal of a singular food and beverage facility. Instead, our proposal focused on the continuity between the public lobby surface and the exterior plaza, and their integral role in the procession of the building’s tenants and employees through the building. Our proposal seeks to split the key elements of the program-Café, Kitchen + Bar, and the Private Dining into materially and volumetrically distinct volumes on that public plane, with General Dining and Lounge seating in the interstitial space. This allows for a diverse set of spaces to be inhabited by the patrons and employees of the Dining facility on a daily basis.
