iMentor – a not for profit organization whose mission is build mentoring relationships that empower students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions; hired Method to help re-design their expanding office. The studio’s proposal focused on analysis of iMentor’s pedagogy and operations structure and developed a planning strategy that would create a nonhierarchical workspace to encourage communication between their ever-growing staff. A band that would house all meeting, private, and auxiliary spaces was used to divide the main workspaces. A connecting stadium staircase would serve as central hub between the 9th and 10th floors.
